LinkedIn marketing for a B2B company in the UAE is built on people more than on the logo. Business here is relationship-led, and buyers often know a founder or partner before they know the firm. The reliable mix is senior people posting specific, useful content from their own profiles, a company page that collects that credibility, and paid campaigns that put a short Lead Gen Form in front of the job titles you actually sell to. It starts slowly and compounds if you keep going, and nobody can honestly promise you a number of leads from it.
Company page or founders' profiles?
You need both, because they do different jobs.
The company page is the official record: what you do, who works there, jobs, events and, once you qualify, a newsletter. LinkedIn ads also run from a company page. Set up the admin roles properly. LinkedIn's Page roles include super admin (everything, including adding and removing admins), content admin (posts, boosts and events) and analyst, plus paid media roles such as Sponsored Content poster and Lead Gen Forms manager. Keep at least one super admin who is an owner or long-term employee, never only an agency or a junior hire who may leave.
Founders' and specialists' profiles carry the trust. A managing partner explaining what a new regulation means for clients often reaches further, and gets more replies, than the same post on the company page. Two rules keep this clean:
- Help with drafting, not logging in. A colleague or agency can plan and draft posts, but LinkedIn's User Agreement says members must not share their account with anyone else, so the founder should publish and reply personally.
- Sponsor the best posts. Thought Leader Ads let a company put budget behind posts by its employees, and by other members and creators, with the author's permission. The author's profile must show their full name, the post must be public, and the author can withdraw approval.
A simple personal website that backs up the profile helps too, especially for consultants and partners. Our guide to building a professional portfolio website covers what to put on it.
What B2B content works on LinkedIn
The posts that win business show expertise without giving away client secrets:
- Explain a change. A new rule, deadline, price or technology: what changed, who it affects and what to do next.
- Show how you think. Walk through a typical project or decision, anonymised. Use client names and logos only with written permission.
- Use formats people stop for. Document posts for frameworks and checklists, short videos with captions, and plain text for opinions.
- Write in your buyer's language. For many UAE B2B audiences English is the working language, but Arabic posts make sense when you sell to government or semi-government buyers. LinkedIn lets advertisers target by profile language, one of 35 options, which makes it easy to test.
- Repurpose long-form work. A guide that answers one question at the top, as each guide on this site does, turns cleanly into a document post or a short series. Our guide to an SEO content strategy for UAE small businesses covers planning the long-form pieces.
For a founder, two or three posts a week plus thoughtful comments on clients' and partners' posts is a realistic rhythm. The page can post less often and reshare.
A B2B lead generation strategy on LinkedIn
Say you run a 20-person IT services firm in Dubai that sells to finance and logistics companies. A workable plan looks like this:
- Define who you sell to. Industries, company sizes and the roles that sign off, such as heads of IT, finance directors and operations managers. Then name 100 to 300 target companies.
- Build the lists. Use Sales Navigator to find the people, and upload your company list to LinkedIn ads as a Matched Audience.
- Warm the audience. Founders post regularly, and Thought Leader Ads put the strongest posts in front of the target companies, so your name is familiar before anyone receives a message.
- Capture demand. Run Sponsored Content with a Lead Gen Form that offers something useful: a checklist, an assessment, or a seat at a round-table.
- Follow up within a working day. A person, not an automated sequence, should reply, ask two or three qualifying questions and offer a call.
- Track to revenue. Log every lead in your CRM with its source, and judge LinkedIn by meetings and pipeline, not form fills.
LinkedIn rarely works alone. Our guide to B2B lead generation strategies in the UAE covers the channels that should run alongside it.
LinkedIn Ads: minimums, targeting and Lead Gen Forms
| Item | LinkedIn's figure, as of October 2026 |
|---|---|
| Minimum audience for an ad set | 300 members |
| Audience size LinkedIn suggests | At least 50,000; at least 300,000 for Sponsored Content and Sponsored Messaging |
| Minimum daily budget | USD 10, any ad format |
| Minimum lifetime budget for a new campaign | USD 100 |
| Lead Gen Form fields | Up to 12, including up to 3 custom questions, plus up to 5 consent checkboxes |
Targeting. Location is required. Beyond that you can target by company name, industry and size, job title, function, seniority, skills, years of experience and more. LinkedIn says job title targeting relies mainly on what members type themselves, and titles vary widely between UAE companies, so combine titles with function and seniority rather than trusting titles alone.
Small audiences. A tightly defined UAE audience can fall well below LinkedIn's suggested sizes. That isn't a reason to stop. Accept a higher cost per result, widen to other Gulf markets you can serve, or lean more on content and direct outreach.
Currency. The UAE dirham is available as an ad account currency, but LinkedIn says an account's currency can't be changed once it is set, so decide between AED and USD before the first campaign.
Lead Gen Forms. They prefill contact and job details from the member's profile, which makes them quick to complete on a phone. LinkedIn requires advertisers to provide a privacy policy URL. Ask only what you need, add one custom question that qualifies, and include a consent checkbox if you plan to send marketing emails. Leads can be downloaded or synced to a CRM.
Sales Navigator and outreach etiquette
Sales Navigator is LinkedIn's paid tool for sellers. It offers more than 50 search filters, such as function, seniority and years at a company, alerts when saved leads change jobs, and 50 InMail credits a month for messaging people outside your network. It comes in Core, Advanced and Advanced Plus plans, with CRM integration on the top tier.
Outreach that protects your account and your reputation:
- Give a real reason to connect. Mention something specific, and don't pitch in the first message.
- Don't automate. LinkedIn's User Agreement bans bots and other automated methods to add contacts or send messages, and its help centre says it may restrict or suspend accounts it suspects of using automation tools.
- Watch for warning signs. LinkedIn restricts invitations when many are ignored, left pending or marked as spam. Most restrictions lift within a week, but too many outstanding invitations can mean waiting up to a month.
- Move to WhatsApp only by invitation. Switch to WhatsApp or a call when the other person offers their number or agrees to it.
- Mind the calendar. Ramadan hours, Friday prayers and the summer holidays all slow replies. Space your follow-ups instead of chasing.
Events and newsletters
LinkedIn Events can be created from your profile or your Page, online or in person, with LinkedIn Live as an option if your account is eligible. Page events can use LinkedIn's own registration form, which requires a privacy policy link, and Lead Gen Forms also work with event ads. A small round-table or webinar on a local regulatory or market change suits B2B buyers here.
Newsletters are open to any member. A Page qualifies once it has more than 150 followers and/or connections, a record of original content and a good standing under LinkedIn's policies. A monthly founder newsletter that explains one issue well can outlast dozens of posts.
If you exhibit at trade shows, plan LinkedIn content before, during and after: who you want to meet, what you learnt, and a follow-up offer for people who stopped by.
Measuring LinkedIn marketing without vanity metrics
Install the LinkedIn Insight Tag on your website and, if you have developer help, the Conversions API as well; LinkedIn deduplicates events sent through both. Track Lead Gen Form leads and website conversions in Campaign Manager, and record the source of every lead in your CRM.
Report on meetings booked, qualified opportunities, pipeline value and won revenue from LinkedIn-sourced leads, plus cost per qualified lead. Impressions, likes and follower counts tell you whether content is landing. They are not results.
Don't scrape: LinkedIn's terms and the PDPL
This is general information, not legal advice.
Scraping profiles to build an email list breaks LinkedIn's User Agreement, which prohibits using software, scripts or bots to scrape or copy profiles and other data, and copying or distributing information taken from the service. It also creates a data protection problem. Under the UAE's Personal Data Protection Law, Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021, names, email addresses and phone numbers are personal data, and consent is the default legal ground for processing them. A harvested list fails both tests. Our guide to the UAE data protection law explains what the PDPL requires. Build your lists from people who give you their details: Lead Gen Form submissions with consent, event registrations and conversations they start.
