Social Media Management in Dubai

Content, posting and community management for Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn and Facebook, planned around what your UAE customers buy.

Overview

Social media management means running your brand's accounts week after week: deciding what to post, producing photos, Reels and short videos, publishing on schedule, replying to comments and messages, and reporting on what it brings in. Almahira manages Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn and Facebook for businesses in the UAE, in English and Arabic.

Two platforms done properly usually beat five done badly. A restaurant, clinic or salon tends to belong on Instagram and TikTok; a B2B firm belongs on LinkedIn, with founders posting alongside the company page. Organic posts build familiarity and trust, but they rarely produce a steady flow of leads on their own, which is why paid social sits with our performance marketing work and is priced separately.

Running social media in the UAE comes with rules that a generic content calendar ignores. Posts must meet the national media content standards, paid or gifted content must be labelled as advertising, business accounts need licensed music, and anyone you pay or gift to promote you needs an advertiser permit from the National Media Authority. Some sectors add their own rules, such as DLD permits for property ads and DHA standards for clinics. We build these checks into the calendar, and the accounts stay in your name.

How it works

  1. Audit

We review your accounts, competitors and past content, and agree what social media should do for the business: awareness, bookings, enquiries or hiring.

  2. Strategy

We choose the platforms, content themes, tone in each language, posting rhythm and the measures we will report on.

  3. Production

We plan shoots, script Reels, design templates and write captions, and check music licences, ad labels and creator permits. You approve each month's content before it goes out.

  4. Publishing and community

We publish on schedule, reply to comments and messages within agreed hours, and pass sales enquiries to your team with the context they need.

  5. Report and refine

Each month we show what reached people and what they saved, shared and asked about, then adjust the next month's plan.

Typical timeline

Expect the first month to go on set-up: account access, brand guidelines, a first shoot and a bank of approved content. After that, growth is gradual and no platform publishes a timetable for it, so judge the work over a quarter rather than week by week, and on enquiries, saves and profile actions as much as on followers.

Common questions

What drives the cost of social media management?

Mostly production. The number of platforms, how many posts, Reels and Stories a month, whether we shoot on location or work from your own photos, editing time per video, captions in one language or two, how much community management you need, and whether creator campaigns are included. Ad spend is separate and paid to the platforms. We price after an audit, against a written list of monthly deliverables.

Which platforms should our business be on?

The ones your buyers use, and only as many as you can keep up properly. Restaurants, retailers and consumer brands usually start with Instagram and TikTok, with Facebook still useful for some audiences. B2B firms and recruiters should focus on LinkedIn. We look at where your customers and competitors are active, what content you can realistically produce and how you sell, then recommend one or two platforms to start.

Can we use trending music in our Reels and TikToks?

Usually not from a business account. Meta's Music Guidelines prohibit using music for commercial purposes without the right licences, and posts with unlicensed music can be muted, blocked or removed. Business accounts should use music cleared for commercial use, such as Meta's Sound Collection or TikTok's Commercial Music Library, licensed stock tracks or original audio. We keep a record of the licence for every track we use.

Do the creators and staff who promote us need a permit?

Individuals who advertise on social media, paid or not, need an advertiser permit from the National Media Authority, and citizens and residents also need a trade licence for electronic media. People promoting their own products or services, or a company they own, on their personal accounts are exempt. The exemption covers owners, so check with the authority before staff promote you on their own accounts. As of October 2026 the permit is free for its first three years, then AED 1,000. This is general information, not legal advice.

What should we check before working with an influencer?

Ask for their advertiser permit number, which permit holders must display on their social media accounts, and confirm it is valid before you sign. Put the brief, fee, deliverables and usage rights in a written contract. Each post must be clearly identified as an ad and disclose the commercial relationship, and on Instagram it must use the branded content tool, which Meta requires for paid or gifted posts. Visiting creators need a visitor permit, applied for through a licensed UAE agency.

Who owns the accounts and the content you produce?

You do. The accounts stay registered to your business, with us added as admins or partners, so you can remove our access at any time. Photos, videos and captions we produce for you are yours to use under the contract. Content made by creators is different: agree in writing where and for how long you can reuse it, and whether you can run it as an ad. Stock images and music keep their own licences.

Do you write captions in Arabic?

Yes, written or reviewed by native Arabic speakers rather than machine-translated. We agree with you whether to use Modern Standard Arabic or a Gulf dialect, and whether to post bilingual captions or separate Arabic and English posts, which depends on your audience and how much text each post carries. Arabic content follows the same media content standards as English, and we check names, numbers and prices in both languages.

How do you measure whether social media is working?

Followers are the least useful number. We report reach, saves, shares, profile visits, link clicks and messages, and where possible the enquiries and sales that started on social, tracked with UTM links in GA4 and labelled chats in WhatsApp. On LinkedIn we also look at who engages, by job title and company. Each report ends with what we will do more of and what we will stop.
